Home / Services / Storage Runs
Storage Runs Brighton — into the unit, out again, or half and half.
Between tenancies, mid-renovation, or just admitting the flat lost to the furniture — storage runs are their own kind of job, and almost nobody gives them their own page. We do: van, hands and the unit's trolley deck treated as home turf.

Thirty seconds of detail. One written price.
Tell us what's moving and where — the quote comes back with the van, the crew and the hours, usually the same day.
- The quote names everything included — nothing surfaces later

What a storage run includes.
More logistics than lifting — which is why it deserves better than a bullet point on someone's man-and-van page:
- Runs into storage, collections back out, and both in one day
- Split loads — part to the new flat, part to the unit
- Stacking that leaves the unit walkable and findable
- The awkward stuff strapped so it survives six months untouched
- Facility trolleys, lifts and loading bays used properly
- Timed around your unit's own access hours
We deliver to every major facility in the city — no partnerships, no kickbacks, just a van that knows each loading bay's quirks.
The unit run, done right.
Three things that separate a smooth storage day from a long one:
Know the facility
Big Yellow on the Lewes Road side and in Hove, StorageMart's sites from Crowhurst Road to Portslade, Henfield up at Hollingbury, Cinch by Preston Park — each loads a little differently, and we've met them all.
Check the hours
Facility access windows are usually shorter than our 8am–10pm day and vary by site. Check your unit's hours before booking the van — it's the one detail we can't override.
Stack for the future
A unit packed like a jigsaw with the winter coats at the back is a unit you'll hate in November. We load heavy-to-light, label-out, with a corridor to the back wall.

Storage-run FAQ
Everything between the tenancy that ended and the one that hasn't started.
Can you move my things into a storage unit?
Yes — and back out, and both directions in one booking if you're rotating belongings. Runs into Big Yellow, StorageMart, Henfield, Cinch and the rest of the city's facilities are everyday work.
What does a storage run cost?
Hourly, like everything here: from £22 for the medium van and driver, £28 for the large, with extra hands at £33 or £39 when the home end has stairs. The unit's own rent is between you and the facility.
Can you split a load between the new flat and storage?
That's one of the most useful bookings we do — essentials to the new address, the rest into the unit, one van and one bill. Label the split before the day and it runs like clockwork.
Do I need the unit booked before you arrive?
Yes — have the unit confirmed and know its access hours, which are usually shorter than ours and differ by site. We time the run inside your facility's window.
How full will my unit actually get?
Fuller than you fear, if it's stacked right: heavy and square at the base, soft on top, a walkway to the back. As a rough picture, a one-bed flat usually settles into a small-room-sized unit — the facility can size you precisely.
