Packing Service Brighton — same rates as the van, no packing tier.
Here's the unusual part first: packing labour costs the same per hour as everything else we do. No separate 'per packer' price list, no premium for holding bubble wrap — boxes done properly before moving day, at the rates already on the table.

Packed the way movers pack.
People who carry boxes for a living pack them differently — flat bottoms, honest weights, labels that mean something:
- Whole-home packs or a single chaotic kitchen
- Fragile-only passes: glassware, screens, art, the good mugs
- Boxes labelled by room and contents, loaded in that order
- Materials quoted with the job — never a marked-up shop
- Pack day scheduled before move day, one written quote for both
- Renting? We pack backwards from your checkout inventory date
Nearly a third of Brighton's households rent privately — the highest share outside London — which is exactly why flexible, no-fee packing help matters more here than most places.
Why packing earns its keep in this city.
Three Brighton realities a good pack defuses:
Tenancy churn
The city's rental market turns homes over constantly, usually against a fixed checkout date. A pack planned backwards from that date is the difference between a deposit returned and a scramble.
Stairs multiply boxes
A conversion flat's staircase is walked once per box. Packing tighter, heavier-right and labelled means fewer trips down a Regency stairwell — which is hours, which is money.
Small rooms, big lives
Brighton flats are compact and full. A fragile-only pass the day before — glasses, art, electronics — clears the shelves that slow a moving morning to a crawl.
One table covers the tape gun.

Packing FAQ
The small print other packing pages keep in the quote email.
Is packing charged at a higher rate?
No — that's the whole point of this page. Packing labour bills at the same hourly table as the van work: from £22 with one pair of hands, £33 with two, £44 with three. There is no separate packing price list.
Are boxes and materials included?
Materials are quoted with the job once we know your rooms — boxes, paper, bubble wrap, tape — rather than sold off an inflated list. Happy to work with boxes you've collected yourself, too.
Can you pack just the fragile things?
Yes, and it's a popular booking: a focused pass over glassware, crockery, screens and pictures the day before, leaving the sturdy stuff to you. In a city of small flats it's often the highest-value hour you can buy.
Should packing happen on moving day or before?
Before, almost always — a pack day then a move day, one written quote covering both. Loading sealed, labelled boxes is fast; packing while the van waits is the expensive way to do it.
Do you pack rentals against a checkout date?
All the time — Brighton rents more of its homes privately than anywhere outside London, so end-of-tenancy packs against a fixed inventory date are core work. Tell us the date and we plan backwards from it.
