How much do house removals cost in Brighton?
By the hour: the large van runs £28 with a working driver, £39 with two men and £55 with three, while smaller moves suit the medium van from £22. What decides the hours is the load, the stairs, the hill and the parking — all confirmed in a written quote before you book.
How do you deal with controlled parking zones?
Brighton & Hove's zones mix permit bays, shared bays and loading stretches, and rules differ street to street. For a full move on a restricted street, the council offers bay suspensions for moving house — they need around seven working days' notice and a small council fee, so tell us the street early and we'll build the timing around it.
Can you move a basement or garden flat?
Yes — below-street flats in converted townhouses are one of Brighton's signature jobs. External steps, narrow light-wells and no lift simply mean the right number of hands and honest hours; mention it when you enquire and the quote arrives already knowing.
Will a big house fit in one trip?
Sometimes not, and we say so upfront: this is a man-with-a-van service, not a pantechnicon. A larger house may run as two well-planned loads — still priced by the hour, with the plan and total in writing before moving day.
