What to know before your things cross the M25.
Does the move cross the ULEZ?
Almost certainly — the zone has covered all of Greater London since August 2023, so any delivery inside the capital sits within it. What matters to you: if a charge applies to the job, it's itemised in the written quote beforehand, never discovered afterwards.
What about the Congestion Charge?
Only central-London addresses during charging hours are affected — weekdays daytime and weekend afternoons. Most runs to outer boroughs never touch it; where it applies, it appears in the quote like everything else.
How long is the drive?
Around an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half via the A23 and M23 in reasonable traffic, with the Gatwick junctions and the Purley stretch the usual slow spots. We quote hours for your actual slot, not the best case.
Do you do London to Brighton too?
It's half the job list — the 'Down From London' move is practically a Brighton institution, and we're usually the last leg of it. Same rates, same written quote, opposite direction.
Is it a fixed price or hourly?
Hourly — £22/£33/£44 on the medium van with one, two or three men, £28/£39/£55 on the large — plus any zone charge shown separately. No mileage rate, and no route fee with bad traffic already baked in.
